The APPG on Hydrogen was established in July 2018 as a UK Parliamentary cross-party group of MPs and Peers. This meeting of the APPG is about how hydrogen production can support energy security.

This meeting will discuss the scope and ambition of the Government’s existing policy on hydrogen production and what it further needs, both in terms of investments and policy changes, to maximise hydrogen production and rollout across the economy.

Speakers will include the former Leader of the Green Party Baroness Natalie Bennett, UK Energy Transition Manager at Shell Jo Coleman, and Vice President of UK Low Carbon Solutions at Equinor Dan Sadler.

The enthusiasm and dedication of the early group that would become AREG was fundamental in us choosing to launch All-Energy in Aberdeen. The first tiny show was held in 2001, and AREG’s Chairman at the time, Jeremy Cresswell, played such an active role that I often describe him in terms such as All-Energy’s ‘midwife’.
