Offshore Energies UK is hosting its first finance evening of the year, focused on the impact a finance transition has on the energy sector. During the session, we will explore the importance of the current finance transition to deliver our energy, climate, economy, and social goals of the future.

Recognising that there will be a significant scaling-up of investment needed, we reflect on the importance of accessing and sustaining affordable cost of capital.

This first in a series of events will look at the opportunities around accessing debt over the next period, as we see a transition of energy sources.

We will be joined by a number of industry leaders who will outline the opportunity the finance transition brings for the UK.

The enthusiasm and dedication of the early group that would become AREG was fundamental in us choosing to launch All-Energy in Aberdeen. The first tiny show was held in 2001, and AREG’s Chairman at the time, Jeremy Cresswell, played such an active role that I often describe him in terms such as All-Energy’s ‘midwife’.
