Aberdeen young professionals are invited to attend the next meeting of AREG’s Renewable Energy-Young Professionals (RE-YP) Network, which will take place at the OGV Taproom on Thursday, 21 March from 6pm-8:30pm.

The network meeting, which is co-chaired by Graceann Robertson, marketing manager at Verlume, and Charlotte Lawson, external relations manager at SSEN Transmission, will provide insights on the varied career options available in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), with a focus on women in engineering.

At the event, attendees will hear from Graceann, Charlotte, and other guest speakers, who will share information on their career journeys during a group discussion activity and Q&A session. The guest speakers will be announced shortly.

This will be followed by an opportunity to network with fellow young professionals and speakers over light refreshments.

This event, which is sponsored by global energy skills body OPITO, is free to attend for AREG members, with a cost of £30 for non-members.

The enthusiasm and dedication of the early group that would become AREG was fundamental in us choosing to launch All-Energy in Aberdeen. The first tiny show was held in 2001, and AREG’s Chairman at the time, Jeremy Cresswell, played such an active role that I often describe him in terms such as All-Energy’s ‘midwife’.
