MEMBER NEWS: Delegates invited to Navigate the Blue Frontier at Subsea Expo 2024

Subsea Expo, the world’s largest annual subsea exhibition and conference, returns to P&J Live in Aberdeen from Tuesday, 20 – Thursday, 22 February 2024, where the free to attend three-day event will showcase the latest technologies and innovations of the underwater sectors to the world.

Preparations are well underway with more than 6,000 delegates from the UK and overseas expected to attend the event which will feature a wide variety of discussion platforms and networking events throughout.

Organised by Global Underwater Hub (GUH), Subsea Expo provides a showcase for companies operating across the underwater industry – which includes offshore renewables, oil and gas, defence, aquaculture, telecoms and subsea minerals.  It is now considered an unmissable event for anyone working in the underwater sectors, attracting over 150 exhibitors and around 85 conference speakers each year.

The event theme for 2024 will be “Navigating the Blue Frontier”, which will highlight many of the market challenges and opportunities, along with some of the latest technological developments and cross-sector innovation spanning the Blue Economy.

Running alongside the exhibition will be a busy conference programme with multiple parallel sessions taking place over the duration of the three days.  This will feature discussion on a number of current industry topics including floating offshore wind, hydrogen and CCUS, pipeline surveys, subsea integrity, defence and diversification.  Other conference sessions will focus on market analysis and sector outlook, digitalisation and decommissioning.

Subsea Expo is also key for young people considering a career in the underwater sectors.  The final day will see around 100 school students attend the event to participate in the “ForeSea Your Future” initiative. This provides an opportunity, alongside the broader exhibition, for an education and industry partnership event where positive, applied STEM experiences inspire career aspirations.

Taking place alongside Subsea Expo is the prestigious Subsea Expo Awards ceremony.  Held on the evening of Wednesday, 21 February 2024, the black-tie dinner celebrates the successes, achievements and innovations of the companies and individuals who are leading the way in the underwater sector.
