ITC has won the Family Business Award of the year for Scotland by Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) and has been put forward for the UK Award to be judged in the coming months. The North-East had an excellent night with four further businesses successful in other categories.
FSB’s Development Manager in the North-east, Mike Duncan, said:
“Year upon year we see the quality of awards applications grow, and it’s no surprise that small businesses from across the North-east outshine their national competitors. “There are twelve awards categories, so to have five worthy winners from Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire is a fantastic result.
“When we launched the awards back in January, I put a call out to local marketing and PR professionals asking them to spread the word and involve their clients. Their support has been remarkable, and I thank everyone who took the time to complete an application.
“The variety of winners emphasises the FSB’s diverse membership right across the region, and this positive news couldn’t come at a more important time. These small businesses thoroughly deserve the recognition, and I hope their awards win inspires them to even greater achievements.”
Tracy Clark Managing Director at ITC said after the announcement:
“I am delighted, surprised, and very happy for ITC, I would like to thank the FSB for this award and the ITC “family” for all their hard efforts over the years – well done to them and thank you”
In this the 25th year of ITC, recognition from ITC’s business peer group is particularly meaningful. The energy sector is rapidly changing with ITC’s efforts very focused on being a significant supplier in Renewable. This award reinforces and give strength to these efforts.”
