Megan McBeath is Marketing Executive at Glacier Energy and Co-Chair of AREG’s Renewable Energy–Young Professionals Network. Drawing on her own experience as a young professional in the energy sector, Megan helps lead the network’s focus on professional development, peer connection, and knowledge sharing across the industry.

Product Growth Lead at Fennex

Aspen Kissinger is Product Growth Lead at Fennex and Co-Chair of AREG’s Renewable Energy–Young Professionals Network. With a strong background in digital innovation and career growth within the sector, Aspen brings valuable insight and energy to the network, supporting the development of the next generation of industry leaders.

Navigating Messaging in the Energy Transition

The network’s first event in the 2025/26 AREG year was a night of connection and conversation sponsored by Elementz, over great food and drinks. It was a particularly great evening for networking and meeting a broad circle of Aberdeen’s young energy professionals.

24-25 Membership Year Events

ORE Catapult FLOWIC Tour

This joint event from AREG’s Young Professionals and Digital Innovation Networks offered attendees an exclusive tour of the ORE Catapult Floating Wind Innovation Centre (FLOWIC) in Aberdeen. As the UK’s first dedicated floating wind innovation hub, the facility showcased cutting-edge developments in offshore wind technology.

The evening included insightful presentations from ORE Catapult and Fennex, highlighting the role of floating wind in the transition to net zero. Attendees also had the opportunity to network with peers and professionals from across the energy sector.

Career Connections: Exploring Opportunities in the Energy Industry

This event welcomed students, recent graduates, and early-career professionals for an eevent of networking, career insights, and professional development. Attendees connected with industry leaders, explored job opportunities, and gained practical advice from expert speakers and mentors.

Sponsored by Mearns & Gill and ETZ Ltd., the event featured talks, workshops, and exhibitors from across the energy sector, offering valuable support for those starting out in their careers.

Breaking into the Energy Industry & Navigating Career Paths

The Communications x Young Professionals event, hosted by AREG, featured insights from Danielle Wood, Global Compliance Director at AGR, who discussed the challenges of entering the energy sector and stressed the importance of diversity and inclusion. Dr. Jenny Garnham, an independent technical consultant and Trustee for TIDE, shared strategies for pursuing unconventional career paths and building a successful career in the industry. The event concluded with a Q&A session followed by closing remarks from AREG.
