SSEN Transmission has joined forces with Aberdeen Football Club Community Trust (AFCCT) to deliver Pittodrie Pathways at Fraserburgh Academy – a programme designed to equip young people with essential skills, qualifications, and confidence for their future careers.
This exciting programme is being introduced to a group of 16 students at Fraserburgh Academy and is designed for young people aged 15 -18. The initiative offers an employability-focused course integrated into the school timetable, providing the opportunity to achieve an SCQF Level 4 qualification and enhancing future prospects for students.
The programme is delivered by AFCCT staff, bringing expertise and real-world experience into the classroom. Pupils will learn about the variety of careers that are available, with support and guidance offered to enhance skills which will help them learn, adapt, and thrive in the workplace, as well as practical guidance such as CV writing to interview techniques which will help support employability options.
Fraserburgh Academy was selected as part of SSEN Transmission’s commitment to supporting communities in the north-east, ensuring young people have access to opportunities linked to Scotland’s clean energy future.
By supporting Pittodrie Pathways, SSEN Transmission is helping equip young people with the skills and confidence they need to succeed in education and employment, while strengthening ties between industry and education.
