Today AREG launches the second of its 2023 ‘meet the developer’ webinars, which form part of its Energy Futures series of events.
Our guest speaker, Charlotte Cochrane, Stakeholder Manager for Salamander Offshore Wind Project, will discuss the role of stepping-stone projects in the development of the local supply chain.
Salamander is a 100MW floating innovation project to be developed 35 kilometres off the North-east coast, near Peterhead.
The project is a joint venture between Orsted, Simply Blue Group and Subsea7.
As a stepping-stone project to large-scale floating offshore wind projects coming to Scotland soon, Salamander aims to support the scale-up of the local supply chain and help Scotland and the UK to progress towards a net-zero future.
Charlotte’s role entails working with industry, government, and stakeholders more broadly to support the sustainable development of the floating offshore wind industry and she will be joined by Neil McIntosh, Aberdeen International Associates’ managing director, who will facilitate the discussion and Q and A.
We welcome your questions in advance, which can be submitted by emailing [email protected], once you have registered for the event.
The webinar will take place from 1300-1345 on July 27th and is free for AREG members. Nonmembers can also join the event, which costs £40.
Both members and nonmembers can sign up here.
