Navigating Messaging in the Energy Transition

AREG’s first Communications Network event of the year took place on Thursday 25th April from 1pm to 2pm via Teams. Pete McIntosh and Cam Duthie from Mearns and Gill discussed how the company delivered tailored, impactful messaging strategies to help clients connect with their target audiences. Maria Iredale from GES GB also spoke at the event, sharing how the organisation had adapted its communications to reflect a more diverse and evolving energy mix.

Breaking into the Energy Industry & Navigating Career Paths

The Communications x Young Professionals event, hosted by AREG, featured insights from Danielle Wood, Global Compliance Director at AGR, who discussed the challenges of entering the energy sector and stressed the importance of diversity and inclusion. Dr. Jenny Garnham, an independent technical consultant and Trustee for TIDE, shared strategies for pursuing unconventional career paths and building a successful career in the industry. The event concluded with a Q&A session followed by closing remarks from AREG.

Revolutionising Communications in Renewables with Digital Tech

The event at ONE Tech Hub focused on how digital technology is revolutionising communication and compliance in the renewables sector. Experts from Mearns & Gill and COMET shared insights on the latest innovations driving efficiency and sustainability. Attendees also had the chance to network with professionals at the forefront of renewables innovation.

Streamlining Supply Chains with Technology and Communication

This Lunch and Learn event, hosted by AREG, brought together its Supply Chain & Technology and Communications Energy Future Networks for a dynamic session on innovation in the energy sector. Paul Murphie from BIG Partnership and Neil McIntosh from Aberdeen International Associates facilitated the event. Presentations featured Niamh Carr from The James Hutton Institute, who discussed advancements in hydrogen, and Leona Minellas from Aspect, who emphasised the importance of strategic communication. Attendees explored how technology and effective messaging can improve efficiency, foster partnerships, and support community engagement in renewable projects.
