As a professional body for accounting and finance professionals working across the public, private and third sectors around the world, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants’ (ACCA) rolling research and insight work aims to provide both practical support and thought leadership in the area of sustainability. It recognises that its members are in key positions in organisations across the economy and therefore have a key role in shaping and delivering (including monitoring and reporting) net zero plans.

Together with the International Federation of Accountants, ACCA is currently working on a research report exploring a Just Transition, due to be published just before COP 28.

As part of this international work, ACCA research colleagues are keen to hold a roundtable in Scotland to hear feedback about from organisations about their own experience of delivering transition plans.

The roundtable will be held on Tuesday, 16 May from 2pm-3pm.

The enthusiasm and dedication of the early group that would become AREG was fundamental in us choosing to launch All-Energy in Aberdeen. The first tiny show was held in 2001, and AREG’s Chairman at the time, Jeremy Cresswell, played such an active role that I often describe him in terms such as All-Energy’s ‘midwife’. All-Energy is now the UK’s largest renewable and low carbon energy exhibition and conference in terms of number of attendees, space booked, and number of exhibiting companies.
