In the second of AREG’s ‘meet the developer’ webinar series Salamander Floating Offshore Wind Project’s Stakeholder Manager, Charlotte Cochrane, will discuss the role of stepping-stone projects, like Salamander, in the development of the local supply chain ahead of ScotWind.
The Salamander Offshore Wind Farm is a 100MW floating innovation project, which is currently under development and will be deployed off the North-east coast of Scotland, near Peterhead. The project is a joint venture between Ørsted, Simply Blue Group and Subsea7.
As a stepping-stone project, Salamander aims to support the scale-up of the local supply chain, ahead of large-scale floating offshore wind projects, and help Scotland and the UK progress towards a net-zero future.
The webinar will be facilitated by Neil McIntosh, Aberdeen International Associates’ managing director.
