Petrobras is at the heart of Brazil’s oil and gas industry – and they’re on a mission to revolutionise the industry.
As part of this, they’re undertaking a mammoth project with the aim of decommissioning 23 platforms between 2024-2028 – and 40 more after 2028 – to move closer towards a sustainable strategy that meets European ESG targets.
With a potential supply chain shortage on the horizon, UK businesses with in-depth supply chain and North Sea expertise can play a pivotal role in the project.
How can you get involved?
We’re partnering with the UK government Department for Business and Trade to take UK businesses to Rio de Janeiro for a 4-day networking event.
You’ll get the chance to:
- Have a face-to-face meeting with Petrobras and other decommissioning operators (including FPSOs).
- Connect with market experts, thought leaders and representatives for decommissioning services in the energy sector and improve your global knowledge network.
- Learn about the opportunities in the market, potential partnerships and challenges in the Brazilian landscape.
- Participate at an evening network event.
How big is the project?
Petrobras’ current portfolio includes:
- US$11 bn capex – 2024-2028.
- 14 floating platforms, 9 fixed – 2024-2028.
