In January 2021, Aberdeen Renewable Energy Group (AREG) and the European Space Agency (ESA) signed a memorandum of intent (MOI) to analyse, develop and implement space-enabled technology and services to support the renewable energy sector.

In this webinar, we will explore what this relationship means for both sectors, with innovative space technologies being utilised to accelerate the development of renewable projects.

As part of the ESA Space Solutions programme, AREG member BMT was awarded a project to assess the feasibility of using space-based data to support the decommissioning of energy assets. BMT speakers will discuss the project and how the company came to be involved in the programme which aims to progress commercial exploitation of space assets, data and capabilities.
