Green hydrogen—produced through renewable resources such as solar and wind— is vital in meeting the world’s future energy demands. And 2022 is set to be a crucial year for the industry as the UK Government’s Hydrogen’s strategy, finalised in Q1, will launch the UK’s green hydrogen economy into action, delivering clarity on the business model, Low Carbon Hydrogen Standard and launch of Net Zero Hydrogen Fund.

That’s why RenewableUK is launching Green Hydrogen UK, to bring green hydrogen experts, renewable energy developers, and end-users together to discuss the next steps and how escape the demand/supply conundrum and establish a thriving hydrogen economy. From large scale production to delivering off-grid solutions and decarbonising industrial operations, we’re turning the years of hydrogen hype and ambition into a reality.

The event will address the big questions around policy support, business incentives, infrastructure, bankability of projects and the route to building a thriving UK hydrogen economy.

The enthusiasm and dedication of the early group that would become AREG was fundamental in us choosing to launch All-Energy in Aberdeen. The first tiny show was held in 2001, and AREG’s Chairman at the time, Jeremy Cresswell, played such an active role that I often describe him in terms such as All-Energy’s ‘midwife’.
