Accessing the Swiss market for Decarbonising Heating and Cooling
The Swiss market for solutions to decarbonise heating and cooling is rapidly expanding. The country is highly dependent on imports of fossil fuels to meet the demand for energy. Some 40% of the primary energy demand is sourced from oil. Following recent political decisions this situation is about to change. Some significant budgets have been allocated to investments in energy efficiency retrofit and installations of heating and cooling networks. Geneva, Bern, Basel, and Lausanne alone are planning to invest some CHF 5B in the coming 10 years. This is good news for suppliers of solutions and services who are able to meet the very strict requirements for precision in quality, service and logistics expected by Swiss customers.
