The Scottish Government have made an unambiguous commitment to achieve net zero emissions of all greenhouse gases by 2045.
There are multiple factors that need to be considered to ensure that this can be achieved and sustained. A critical factor amongst these is ensuring that Scotland has an adequately trained workforce to deliver all aspects of technology development, manufacture and maintenance.
There are a growing number of training programs that are becoming available to address the skills gap, however it is important to ensure that these align with the industry’s needs.
This event will set the context for Scotland, showcase some of the courses available in Scotland and help identify where skills training provision is still needed to address Industry’s needs.
