The US Federal government has committed to support infrastructure development which will be used in part for port upgrades and support of renewable energy. This session will explore what these port upgrades will be and the effects they will have on increasing the clustering of the supply chain in various locations, and where we predict future clustering will occur.
With the approval of Vineyard Wind 1, other projects will be close behind. As the industry looks to support multiple projects along the east coast, locations are emerging as hubs for manufacturing, O&M, construction and others. This clustering is driven by OEM/Tier 1 suppliers choosing locations for their operations.
