MEMBER NEWS: AREG chair Jean Morrison sends best wishes to AREG finalists in The Scottish Renewables Net Zero Energy Transition Awards

The finalists have been revealed for the Scottish Renewables inaugural Net-Zero Energy Transition Awards 2022 and AREG chair Jean Morrison sends her best wishes to those who’ve made it to the finals.

Jean said: “It’s fantastic to see our members represented in the finals of these prestigious awards. The pioneering work our members are doing is helping shape the energy transition and moving us closer to government targets for net zero. We look forward to seeing the results and wish all finalists the best of luck.”

Eleven AREG members have made it into the final stage of the competition, across various categories, and the winners will be announced at an award’s dinner in Aberdeen on August 25th.

The enthusiasm and dedication of the early group that would become AREG was fundamental in us choosing to launch All-Energy in Aberdeen. The first tiny show was held in 2001, and AREG’s Chairman at the time, Jeremy Cresswell, played such an active role that I often describe him in terms such as All-Energy’s ‘midwife’. All-Energy is now the UK’s largest renewable and low carbon energy exhibition and conference in terms of number of attendees, space booked, and number of exhibiting companies.
