AREG’s first professional services network meeting took place virtually on Thursday 14th July, led by AREG Director, Rod Hutchison, who is the network’s chair.
The aim of the group is to share best practice and insights from professional service personnel in the Norh-east, working within the renewable energy space, or those who wish to move into that space.
The group provides an opportunity to hear from guest speakers, raising the profile of local businesses and encouraging information sharing, as well as demystifying renewable energy buzz words.
Rod Hutchison, legal director at MacRoberts LLP, is a commercial lawyer with 20 years’ experience in the energy sector and a strong interest in the energy transition.
The first virtual meeting started with an introduction by AREG ceo David Rodgers who spoke about innovations in the renewables sector and introduced the theme of risk, which was the topic for the meeting.
This led onto a presentation by Mark Rushton, ceo of STC Insiso, one of AREG’s member organisations who work with companies to help improve and manage business operations across a range of areas. Mark shared insights into root cause learning and how organisations across all industries can become safer and more profitable using tools and strategies that deliver genuine Root Cause Learning.
The next professional services network meeting will take place in the last quarter of 2022. Sign up to the AREG newsletter here for future updates or check out the news section of our website.
