Aberdeen energy technology specialist, and AREG member, Fennex Ltd, is delighted to announce it secured a finalist position in the Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainable Development Offshore Award in the recent World Oil Awards.

The Fennex team secured its place among the best in the industry at the award ceremony, held in Houston, Texas.

The company’s AI-powered Behavioural Based Safety Solution (BBSSTM) technology was shortlisted against a number of significant energy sector players including Expro, Schlumberger and Siemens Energy for the HSE & Sustainable Development Offshore Award at the prestigious stateside award ceremony.

The BBSSTM digital solution harnesses the transformative power of digital tech to improve safety observation procedures across the energy industry. The technology is currently deployed across 23 offshore assets worldwide, fully transforms the critical safety observation reporting programme into a clear, agile and streamlined process, and offers a quick and accurate access to critical safety data, at enterprise scale, to improve safety and sustainability performance.

The HSE and Sustainable Development Offshore Award is presented to a company that has made significant strides in protecting and enhancing the offshore environment where it operates.

The World Oil Awards were established to recognise and honour the upstream energy industry’s leading innovators and thought leaders and to celebrate the latest advancements in the sector’s technology that are set to make a lasting impact on the industry for years to come.
