Member News: Aberdeen’s People Planet Pint’s August Theme is Renewable Energy

People Planet Pint returns to Six by Nico on 12th August at 7pm, bringing together Aberdeen’s sustainability professionals and climate innovators for an evening of genuine connection and shared purpose.

This month’s theme is Renewable Energy what a great topic for discussion in this region which is soo connected with Energy. The conversations have the potential to flow in many directions from communities generating their own energy, or benefiting from community benefit funds. Or potentially the difficulties of navigating grid connections, stakeholder engagement or distrust in information about what energy solutions are suitable for the systemic changes required for the energy system. Such an abundance of potential discussion points.

If you are stuck for that opening question at a networking event you could try: What energy myth do you hear the most often? Or do you know where the electricity you use comes from?

The theme is not compulsory so if you prefer to chat about other sustainability topics that’s great too, but surely this has to be an Aberdeen special.

This event is about Networking for Impact, People Planet Pint offers a relaxed space for local changemakers to meet and share ideas that move Aberdeen beyond forward in clean, green, low carbon way.

Part of a global movement by Small99, these gatherings support an inclusive, transition. Hosted by Danielle Dale of The Changineer Ltd, with support from Krystal (the 100% renewably powered web host), these events demonstrate how local collaboration can turn big-picture goals into real-world impact.
