COMET is proud to announce that their Head of Investigations, Alan Smith, will appear in the latest series of Donal MacIntyre’s UK Killer Evidence, airing on ITVX and Amazon Prime on May 26 at 10:00 PM.
Alan appears in Episode 7, which revisits the murder of Kemnay father Dean Jamieson. At the time of the investigation, Alan was Detective Superintendent with Grampian Police. He led the investigation that resulted in the conviction of the three men responsible. The episode takes a closer look at how the case unfolded and the investigative and forensic effort that led to justice for Dean’s family.
The case has had a lasting impact on everyone involved. Like many of the cases Alan worked on during his time in policing, it highlights the time and commitment needed to uncover the truth and the lasting impact these events have on those left behind.
