Member News: Semco Maritime UK Awarded Integrated Control and Safety Systems Contract

Semco Maritime has been awarded a multi-million Pound Integrated Control and Safety Systems contract by a major North Sea operator, covering operational support services across eight offshore
and onshore assets in the UK Continental Shelf.
Operating from Aberdeen, Semco Maritime’s UK division delivers specialist engineering, operations and maintenance services to the offshore energy sector, with expertise in control and safety systems, lifecycle support and brownfield modifications. The Aberdeen team plays a critical role in supporting North Sea operators with complex, safety-critical assets, combining strong local delivery capability with the wider technical resources of the Semco Maritime group.
The three-year contract, commencing in February 2026, includes options for two additional one-year extensions at the operator’s discretion. The scope covers the ongoing support, maintenance, modification and rationalisation of more than twelve industrial control systems currently in operation, without the requirement for major system upgrades. Under the agreement, Semco Maritime will implement a robust and sustainable provision model to ensure the continued safe, reliable and efficient operation of the operator’s Integrated Control and Safety Systems. These systems typically include Distributed Control Systems, Safety Instrumented Systems, Emergency Shutdown Systems, Fire and Gas Detection Systems, and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems.
The contract is designed to maintain the highest standards of safety, operational reliability and regulatory compliance across all assets, supporting the protection of personnel, assets and the environment while optimising system performance.
