Member News: Vattenfall: work has started on the construction of our Clashindarroch II onshore wind farm near Huntly, in Aberdeenshire

We are delighted to announced work has started on the construction of our Clashindarroch II onshore wind farm near Huntly, in Aberdeenshire.

The development is located next to our existing 18 turbine, 30 MW Clashindarroch wind farm which has been generating renewable electricity for over ten years.

Clashindarroch II‘s 14 turbines will generate up to 63MW of renewable electricity – enough to power around 61,000 homes annually.

Preparatory works are already underway, with main construction starting in the Spring and first power anticipated in summer 2027. You will see our staff compound visible from the site entry, with further compounds within the site itself.
